All Nectar products taste and smell like Aussie BBQ sausage. Our pups are obsessed with it!

Human-grade means our products don’t contain any ingredients that we wouldn’t consume ourselves. Part of our development process involved us taste-testing Nectar alongside our Chief Tasting Officer, Willow. All Nectar products are also made in a human food-grade, ACO-certified manufacturing facility here in Australia.

This means that Nectar is formulated to have exactly the same fluid and salt levels as a healthy dog's cells. All Nectar products are calibrated specifically for a healthy dog's blood osmolality, containing the right minerals at the right amounts to provide a more effective hydration boost than plain water.

We’re not saying your dog should be vegetarian, but there are two mains reasons why we formulated Nectar to be plant-based.

First, we have a deep respect, knowledge and passion for the healing powers of plants and herbs that have been used for centuries in traditional medicine.

Secondly, we're very aware of the environmental impacts of meat production - did you know that meat-centric pet diets (including treats and supplements) are creating a staggering 64 million tons of carbon dioxide every year? That's equivalent to driving 13.6 million cars! 

We believe that reducing meat consumption, even just in part, can make a big difference in protecting our planet, so we committed to making Nectar 100% plant-based, but without giving up any of the savoury tastes our pups drool over.

Nectar of the Dogs is proudly made in Australia, in a human-grade GMP food facility that’s fully HACCP & ACO certified.

You can start using Nectar to support your pup's health at any stage - Puppy, Adult or Senior.

When you introduce anything new to your dog's diet, we always suggest doing so gradually.

For Nectar, we recommend halving their dose for the first 3 to 4 days before moving them to their regular dose.

Absolutely you can. We wouldn't want you to have to chose between supporting your pup's gut health and Immune health - you can do both. You can simply mix the 2 Nectar powders together and then add water or you can do one product in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening for two delicious hydrating sessions.

Nectar is a Medicinal Water Treat™, so we recommend mixing Nectar into your dog’s water (based on their body weight) as a once-a-day treat. But you can also sprinkle Nectar directly on top of your pups food. Some dogs also love to have the Nectar mixed with water and then poured on top of their kibble for a hydrating meal. Yum!

The best temperature to use is room temperature.

You can also use lukewarm water to mix Nectar in, then pour onto your dog's food for a delicious meal.

We recommend never using hot or boiling water which can affect the efficacy of the active ingredients, in addition to making the flaxseed slightly sticky.

No. Nectar is an innovative isotonic supplement for dogs delivered in water, but is not a replacement for water. It is a Medicinal Water Treat™, so please ensure your dog always has access to clear, fresh and ideally filtered water.

We recommend using Nectar daily according to your pup's body weight:

<10kg : Mix 2.5g (1/2 metric teaspoon) of Nectar with water

11kg-20kg : Mix 5g (1 metric teaspoon) of Nectar with water

21-35kg : Mix 7.5g (1 1/2 metric teaspoon) of Nectar with water

>35kg : Mix 10g (2 metric teaspoons) of Nectar with water.

Yes, this is absolutely normal. This residue you see is the organic flaxseed that we use in each of our formulas. They contain soluble and insoluble fibres which can leave some residue. But don't worry, your pup is still getting their full dose of key ingredients and most pups will also lick the bowl clean, residue and all!

Nectar is designed to be a water treat, and that means it should be consumed in one delicious session.

If this is not the case, you can keep Nectar at room temperature for a few hours stirring well before re-serving to your pup. Discard any unconsumed liquid after 24hrs.

Every dog is different so it is hard to predict exactly.

Natural Medicines work differently to pharmaceutical drugs and generally do not have an immediate effect.

Most dogs parents should start to see benefits in their pups after 3 to 4 weeks of use, but for some it may happen faster.

Store your Nectar products below 25C in a cool, dry place. 

Short answer? Yes! Once your pup has finished the can of Nectar, you can simply put it into your home recycling bin.

Longer answer? To achieve 100% recyclability, it is best to separate the cardboard body of the can (to go into paper recycling bin) and the metal top and bottom of the can (to go into the co-mingled or container recycling bin).

We use Australia Post for all deliveries. You'll receive a tracking link once your order is on its way to you.

Once your order is received by us, it goes straight to our warehouse department to be picked, packed and sent to you. Therefore, we are unable to add items to orders that have already been placed.

Once your order is fulfilled you'll receive an Australia Post tracking link via email. Simply click the link to check the status of your order.

We only deliver within Australia at this stage.

Delivery is free for any orders over $60.

For all orders below $60, we charge a delivery fee based on your order and your delivery location (this will be automatically calculated at check-out).

We currently do not do same day or next delivery, but we do aim to pack and despatch your order as soon as we receive it. Your pup shouldn't have to wait too long to enjoy their Nectar.
